Position Summary Facilitate patient care by assisting the physician, registered nurse, or LPN. General Responsibility Decide if supplies are adequate, when to report patient complaints or vital signs, and which phone calls to forward to the nurse. Requirements Knowledge of medical terminology, normal patient vital signs, resources available to assist patients in obtaining out-of-hospital care, insurance information. Organizational, problem-solving, computer, customer service and written and verbal communication skills. High school education and CNA certification. BLS required.
