Specialists Clinic RN
Position Summary To provide quality patient care while following all standards of care and maintaining a safe environment for both inpatients and outpatients who are receiving a variety of special procedures which may include intravenous sedation. General Responsibility Formally responsible for making recommendations regarding policies associate with the job's purpose and essential responsibilities. Determines appropriate protocols; procedures, drugs, pre-procedure testing and equipment for each patient based on assessment; achievement of adequate sedation and when to reverse; appropriate family/patient education. Requirements Experience in wound care preferred. Knowledge of intravenous sedation, special procedures, instruments and equipment, medications, actions and adverse reactions, cardiac rhythms, airway maintenance, nursing process, insurance requirements, standards of care, JCAHO requirements. Experience in clinic settings for Chemo, ENT, Dermatology, Ortho, Rheumatology, Nephrology, etc. is preferred. Good assessment, communication, trouble-shooting, monitoring equipment, time management, and clinical skills. Two- to four-year RN degree, currently licensed in the state of Missouri.
