Security Officer
Position Summary To provide professional security oversight of the hospital and grounds by protecting persons and property in accordance with state and federal regulations and The Joint Commission standards in a manner that promotes the mission of Cass Regional Medical Center. General Responsibility Formally responsible for making recommendations regarding policies associated with the job's purpose and essential responsibilities. Determines when to intervene with combative patients; when and how to confront family members. Requirements Must obtain a police commission for an armed agent, which includes shooting a qualifying score with a handgun. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing; ability to work well with people under stressful conditions; understanding of fire safety principles and ability to direct others during an emergency; ability to use a computer. Must be able to traverse all types of terrain in all types of weather and will assist in the restraint and control of combative patients or suspects. High school education.
