The Memorial Garden

on the grounds of Cass Regional Medical Center

The Memorial Garden was established in 1998 in memory of Rosemary Kauffman, RN, who was a supervisor on Cass Regional's Medical/Surgical Unit. Its purpose is to provide a quiet place for reflection, meditation and prayer for patients, visitors and staff. Features of the garden include a beautiful gazebo, a sundial, granite benches, and a variety of trees, shrubs and flowers.

A terrace featuring engraved bricks welcomes visitors to the garden setting. The Foundation offers donors the opportunity to place engraved terrace bricks in honor or in memory of a loved one for a donation of $100 (for a red brick) or $500 (for a granite brick). Individuals also have the option of placing an engraved bench along the garden path for a donation of $5,000. All proceeds from brick and bench donations support the ongoing maintenance of the garden. To download a brick/bench order form, click here.

When Cass Regional moved to its new facility in the fall of 2009, the Memorial Garden was re-created on the northeast side of the new hospital campus. It features a new gazebo, and the bricks, benches and sundial were moved and re-installed there.
