Medical ImagingCass Regional Medical Center's Medical Imaging Department utilizes some of the most advanced radiologic technology available, including a 1.5T, eight-channel MRI (magnetic resonance imaging machine), a 16-slice CT scanner, PET/CT, teleradiography, digital mammography, vascular sonography, echocardiology (including transesophageal—TEE), nuclear medicine, nuclear heart procedures, flouroscopy, tomography, state-of-the-art ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy, and bone densitometry. Cass Regional's Medical Imaging Department utilizes PACS (picture archiving and communications system), through which crystal-clear digital diagnostic images (such as X-rays and CT scans) are quickly taken and transferred electronically to the doctor who ordered them. The Medical Imaging Department also periodically offers reduced-rate mammograms. Radiologists interpret test results on-site and via teleradiography 24 hours per day. |
