Gastroenterology (GI)

Gastroenterologists, also referred to as GI doctors, diagnose and treat problems of the stomach, liver, colon and intestinal tract, which can cause symptoms such as lactose intolerance, food allergies, abdominal pain, inflammatory bowel disease, and chronic liver and feeding disorders. 

Aaron Travis, DO, sees patients on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, and Jack Hudkins, MD, sees patients on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. GI consultations and procedures are done in the Surgery Department.

Pain Management

Patients with chronic and persistent pain can schedule an appointment with one of our pain management specialists. Pain management consultations and procedures are done in Cass Regional's Surgery Department.

Steven Charapata, MD; George Edwards, MD; and Thomas Laughlin, MD; from Pain Management Associates (KC Pain), see patients every Wednesday at Cass Regional. TheGI/Pain Management nursing staff includes:

Linda Strickfaden, RN, who has over 25 years of nursing experience. She received her nursing degree from Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. She is certified in ACLS.

Sheryl Knox, RN, has over 18 years of nursing experience. She obtained her nursing degree from Penn Valley Community College. She is certified in BLS, ACLS and PALS.
