Biography
Dr. Petersen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education (with an emphasis in exercise physiology) from Brigham Young University. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kansas City University. Dr. Petersen completed a medical internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the Medical Center of Independence and another orthopedic surgery residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, Missouri. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Petersen sees patients on Mondays and Wednesdays at Cass Regional Orthopedics and on Thursdays at Pleasant Hill Medical Clinic. He also performs surgeries on Tuesdays and Fridays at Cass Regional Medical Center.
