Biography
Viseslav Tonkovic-Capin, MD,received his medical degree from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in Croatia. His residency in dermatology was completed at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he served as chief resident. He also completed an internship in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, and adermatopathology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Tonkovic-Capin is board certified in dermatology and dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology and American Board of Pathology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, College of American Pathologists and Kansas City Dermatologic Society. In addition to his clinical duties, he serves as an assistant professor of dermatology, teaching students and residents at the Kansas City VA Medical Center and at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Dr. Tonkovic-Capin has also authored more than 20 articles or book chapters dealing with a wide variety of skin diseases. He sees patients of all ages.
