Diabetes education

The goal of diabetes education is to help patients with diabetes learn how to best care for themselves, manage their diabetes and live life to the fullest. Our Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) program teaches patients how to monitor and manage their diabetes through proper nutrition and medication along with how to administer medications such as insulin. Our DSME program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association, is Medicare- and Medicaid-approved, and is covered by most insurances. A doctor's referral is not required; patients may self-refer to the DSME program.

The diabetes educator and dietitian are available for consultation by appointment Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
