Boots & Bar-B-Que Event Raises Funds for Pediatric Manikin
Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation hosted the “Boots & Bar-B-Que” fundraising dinner and auction on Thursday, May 1, at Stillmeadow in Garden City. Approximately $40,000 was raised at the event, and proceeds will be used to purchase a pediatric manikin and crash cart, and to provide hands-on experience for local high school students interested in health care careers.
More than 130 guests attended the event and had the opportunity to bid on over 40 silent auction items and three live auction items, as well as participate in a 50/50 raffle and a heads or tails game.
The emcee of the event was Rich Linden, a nationally-known event host and DJ. The welcome was given by Denise Ashby-Cohen, foundation board president, and the invocation was given by T.R. Hoefle, foundation board member. Crysti Danahy, Clinical Education manager, shared remarks regarding the purpose of the fundraiser. Erin Hoefle of Life’s Journey Portraits was the event photographer.
Commerce Bank was the presenting sponsor. MedCurate was the Drink Ticket Sponsor. Hawthorn Bank, Forvis Mazars, HCA Midwest Health and Seigfreid Bingham, P.C. were Table Patron sponsors.
