Boots & Bar-B-Que Event Raises Funds for Pulmonary Function Lab

Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation hosted the “Boots & Bar-B-Que” fundraising dinner and auction on Thursday, April 27, at The Cider House in Garden City. Approximately $52,000 was raised at the event, and proceeds will be used to purchase a new pulmonary function lab for Cass Regional Medical Center.

More than 150 guests attended the event and had the opportunity to bid on 23 silent auction items and two live auction items as well as participate in a 50/50 raffle. Along with this, guests could get their pictures taken at a photo booth.

The emcee of the event was Rich Linden, a nationally-known event host and DJ. The welcome was given by Larry Pfautsch, foundation board president, and the invocation was given by Tracy Sloan, foundation board member. Gary Skiles, respiratory therapy director, shared remarks regarding the pulmonary function lab. David Coffelt served as the auctioneer for the live auction, and was assisted by Ed Roberts. Erin Hoefle of Life’s Journey Portraits was the event photographer.

Commerce Bank was the presenting sponsor. CPSK Insurances Services, Inc. and Health Care Associated Emergency Physicians were table sponsors, and table patrons were FORVIS; HCA Midwest Health; Loyd Builders, Inc.; Seigfreid Bingham, PC; SJ Pain Associates; and United Imaging Consultants. The photo booth sponsor was Sherwood Community Bank. The drink ticket sponsor was American Heritage, Realtors. Supporters included Harrisonville Family Medicine; Hawthorn Bank; Hoefle Law, LLC; Chris and Laurie Lang; St. Luke’s East Anesthesia; and Tonkovic Dermatology, LLC.
