Campbell Named Employee of the Quarter at Cass Regional Medical Center
John Campbell, RN, CEN, was named Cass Regional Medical Center's Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2019. Chief nursing officer Twila Buckner, RN, BSN, MBA, NE-BC, made the announcement Thursday, May 9, during a reception.
“I’m excited! I’ve never been nominated for something like this! I feel like my hard work and dedication has paid off,” Campbell said.
Campbell, who has been a Cass Regional employee for two years, was nominated by fellow employees at Cass Regional. Campbell was selected as the Employee of the Quarter for positively representing Cass Regional’s mission and vision.
The nomination letters described Campbell as very helpful, polite, patient and professional. “He is always helping out in his department, he helped with education during the survey and comes in early to help with compliance.”
Campbell said there are a lot of reasons why he loves working at Cass Regional. “I love how close it is to my home, working with great nurses, seeing and taking care of patients in the community that I live in,” said Campbell.
Before coming to work at Cass Regional, Campbell served six years in the military as a medic for the Navy and Marine Corps. He then worked as an ER tech and lab assistant until he decided to go back to school to obtain practical nurse license and graduated in 2016. He completed the LPN to RN bridge program at Park University where he graduated in 2017.
Campbell resides in Harrisonville with his wife, Allie, who is a LPN at Cass Regional, and their 11 year-old son. In his spare time, he likes to go to the movies, play paint ball and spend time with his family.
As Employee of the Quarter, Campbell received a paid day off, a designated parking space for the quarter, an Employee of the Quarter pin, a cake and balloons.
