Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation awards scholarships
Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation recently awarded scholarships to three area students who are pursuing health care degrees.
Brooke Truman, of Belton, Missouri, received the Geraldine Kidd Scholarship, which was $1,500. Truman is pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy from Rockhurst University.
Kelsi Mainard, of Creighton, Missouri, received the Dr. Harold Kirsch Memorial Scholarship, which was $3,000. Mainard works part time as a technician in Cass Regional’s Emergency Department. She is pursuing a master’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Central Missouri.
Benjamin Strauch, of Adrian, Missouri, received the Sonny and Toni Wiseman Scholarship, which was $500. Strauch works full time as a registered nurse in Cass Regional’s Emergency Department. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing through Northwest Missouri State University.
Since its start in 1989, Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation has awarded over $240,000 in scholarships and helped more than 200 individuals achieve their educational goals.
