Cass Regional Medical Center Renews Accreditation with ACHC

Hospital news | Monday, July 10, 2023

Cass Regional Medical Center proudly announces it has renewed accreditation through Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for the services of its Sleep Lab.

Accreditation is a process through which healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. Accreditation by ACHC reflects an organization’s dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care. Cass Regional is accredited in: home sleep testing and sleep lab/center services

Cass Regional Medical Center's Sleep Lab is used to evaluate, diagnose and treat sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a medical disorder that causes a person to stop breathing for periods of time during the night and can be linked to other serious health problems such as high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, stroke, and/or depression/anxiety. Other sleep disorders can include restless leg syndrome (RLS), periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD) and narcolepsy, all of which can affect a person’s health. Most sleep disorders can be successfully treated or controlled once properly diagnosed.

“The Cass Regional Sleep Lab is committed to helping you with your sleep needs. Of the estimated 22 million Americans suffering from sleep apnea, approximately 80% of individuals with moderate to severe sleep apnea are undiagnosed,” said Rebecca Wagner, CCSH, RPSGT, RRT, sleep lab coordinator. “If you feel you have a sleep disorder, talk to your doctor or call the Sleep Lab for further information.”
