Gilmore Named Employee of the Quarter at Cass Regional Medical Center
Ashley Gilmore, housekeeper in Environmental Services, was named Cass Regional Medical Center's Employee of the Quarter award for the fourth quarter of 2017. Chief Executive Officer Chris Lang made the announcement Thursday, February 8, during a reception.
“I was surprised when they called my name, but everyone had been acting kind of weird, so I knew something was going on,” Gilmore said.
Gilmore, who has been a Cass Regional employee since 2017, was nominated by Brenda Ford, information desk associate for Patient Access. Gilmore was selected as the Employee of the Quarter for positively representing Cass Regional’s mission and vision.
The nomination letter described Gilmore as dedicated, proactive and loved by many. “She is the most dedicated employee, she takes pride in keeping the front entrance, restrooms and everything else she sees that needs attention clean. She is dedicated, highly regarded and loved by many.”
Gilmore said the best part about working at Cass Regional is the people, whether patients or coworkers. “Everyone is always in a great mood and has a smile on their face,” Gilmore said. Before coming to work at Cass Regional, Gilmore worked at Wendy’s in Harrisonville, where she was the assistant manager before being promoted to shift manager.
Gilmore resides in Butler, but is originally from Harrisonville, Mo. In her spare time, she hauls her three youngest siblings everywhere and spends time with her family, friends and animals.
As Employee of the Quarter, Gilmore received a paid day off, a designated parking space for the quarter, an Employee of the Quarter pin, an Employee of the Quarter crystal star award, a cake and balloons.
