Fundraiser Nets Nearly $40,000 for Patient Assistance Fund
Cass Regional Medical Center Foundation hosted Spring into Action for Patients, a fundraising dinner and auction, on April 7 at The Beck Event Space in Harrisonville. Approximately $40,000 was raised at the event, and proceeds will be directed to the Patient Assistance Fund at Cass Regional Medical Center. Since 2005, the fund has provided nearly $108,000 in assistance to more than 1,450 patients from communities across the region, helping with medication, transportation, medical supplies, and certain therapies.
Nearly 150 guests attended the event and had the opportunity to bid on 32 silent auction items and 5 live auction items as well as participate in a 50/50 raffle, wine pull, jellybean jar guess, prize wheel, and photo booth.
The emcee of the event was Rich Linden, a nationally-known event host and DJ. The welcome was given by Gina Smith, foundation board president, and the invocation was given by Tracy Sloan, immediate past president. Sonya McLelland, foundation executive director, shared stories of some of the patients who have been helped by the Patient Assistance Fund.
Commerce Bank was the presenting sponsor.
