Tim Gillam, RN was recently named Cass Regional Medical Center's Employee of the Quarter for the first quarter of 2023. Chief Executive Officer Chris Lang made the announcement during a surprise reception.

“I was surprised and overwhelmed,” said Gillam regarding the recognition. “This recognition truly fuels the gas tank to keep going, and I could not be more excited to be recognized by my peers!”

Gillam, who has worked on the Medical/Surgical Unit at Cass Regional for two years, was nominated by a physician. He was selected as the Employee of the Quarter for positively representing Cass Regional’s mission and vision.

The nomination letter described Gillam as hard-working, very skilled and knowledgeable. “Tim is the charge nurse on the unit, but he is often times found helping nursing staff with duties, instead of just overseeing and organizing. He is an excellent leader and his team feels supported and appreciated.”

Gillam said there are many reasons why he loves working at Cass Regional Medical Center. “The best part about working at Cass Regional is caring for individuals in the same community I live in,” said Gillam. “As a charge nurse, I not only help numerous patients, but I am also able to be a resource to and help develop young nursing staff, as they grow in the medical field.”

Gillam lives in Harrisonville, with his wife and two children. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, coaching and running youth baseball/softball little league, gardening and wine making.

As Employee of the Quarter, Gillam received a paid day off, a designated parking space for the quarter, an Employee of the Quarter pin, a cake and flowers.
