Tammy Hayden was recently named Cass Regional Medical Center's Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2022. Chief Executive Officer Chris Lang made the announcement during a surprise reception.

“I was completely shocked,” said Hayden regarding the recognition. “There are so many people who have helped me learn parts of my job that should definitely receive recognition!”

Hayden, who has worked in the Business Office at Cass Regional for nearly two years, was nominated by a fellow employee. She was selected as the Employee of the Quarter for positively representing Cass Regional’s mission and vision.

The nomination letter described Hayden as dedicated, kind, and respectful. “Tammy is always willing to go above and beyond to support our department in any way; she is the glue that holds our team together.”

Hayden said there are many reasons why she loves working at Cass Regional Medical Center. “I appreciate the willingness of coworkers, as well as those in other departments, to come along side new employees to include and immediately make you feel like you are a part of the team,” said Hayden.

Hayden lives in Cass County, with her husband of 30 years. They have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and are soon to be grandparents for the first time. In her spare time, she enjoys making floral arrangements, going to thrift stores and gardening.

As Employee of the Quarter, Hayden received a paid day off, a designated parking space for the quarter, an Employee of the Quarter pin, and an edible arrangement.
