Jacquelyn Jones, exercise specialist, was named Cass Regional Medical Center's Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2021. Chief Executive Officer Chris Lang made the announcement Friday, July 16.

“It was unexpected and very surprising,” said Jones regarding the recognition.

Jones, who has worked at Cass Regional for nearly eight years, was nominated by a fellow employee. She was selected as the Employee of the Quarter for positively representing Cass Regional’s mission and vision.

The nomination letter described Jones as dedicated, kind, positive and helpful. “Jackie is an engaged team player that represents Cass Regional in a very positive way. She goes above and beyond the call of duty, and seeks out ways to help others.”

Jones said there are many reasons why she loves working at Cass Regional Medical Center. “The best part about working at Cass Regional is the employees,” said Jones. “I have amazing coworkers. My coworkers are like my second family!”

Jones attended the University of Central Missouri where she received her bachelor’s degree in exercise science. She did her internship at Cass Regional in the Cardiac Rehabilitation department, and shortly after graduating, she started working in the department.

Jones lives in Butler with her husband, CJ, stepdaughter, Paityn, and two dogs, Gunner and Bitty. In her spare time, she enjoys playing softball and volleyball, working out, doing anything outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

As Employee of the Quarter, Jones receives a paid day off, a designated parking space for the quarter, an Employee of the Quarter pin, a cake and balloons.
