Lesmeister Named Employee of the Quarter at Cass Regional Medical Center
Caitlin Lesmeister, RN, Surgery, was recently named Cass Regional Medical Center's Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of 2023. Chief Nursing Officer Jay Sebelien made the announcement during a surprise reception.
“I was very surprised,” said Lesmeister regarding the recognition. “A little emotional, but most of all I felt so honored to be chosen!”
Lesmeister, who has worked at Cass Regional for four years, was nominated by a peer. She was selected as the Employee of the Quarter for positively representing Cass Regional’s mission and vision.
The nomination letter described Lesmeister as hard-working, encouraging and knowledgeable. “She is always looking for ways to help people. She helps make our department work as a team, helps us come together, and feel like a family.”
Lesmeister said there are many reasons why she loves working at Cass Regional Medical Center. “The best part about working at Cass Regional is the small town feel of the hospital,” said Lesmeister. “Taking care of patients and making them feel comfortable during a scary time is the best part of being a nurse in the Surgery department.”
Lesmeister lives in Butler with her wife, and has three dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, playing with her dogs, reading, cheering on the Chiefs and traveling.
As Employee of the Quarter, Lesmeister received a paid day off, a designated parking space for the quarter, an Employee of the Quarter pin, a cake and flowers.
