Thursday, February 27, 2025

Harrisonville, Mo. – James Wingo, BA, CPC, was recently named Cass Regional Medical Center’s Employee of the Quarter for the fourth quarter of 2024. Chief Executive Officer Chris Lang made the announcement February 25, during a reception.

Wingo, who works as the billing coordinator in the Business Office, has worked at Cass Regional for 13 years. He was surprised by his family, who attended the reception, and his department. After accepting the award, Wingo thanked his fellow employees for being great coworkers.

His favorite part of his job is when the team is successful in getting an insurance claim paid that was previously denied. “We get to make a difference in people’s lives,” said Wingo. “We are here for their financial health as well.”

The employee who nominated Wingo said “James consistently goes above and beyond for his team and each department of the hospital.” They also mentioned that he represents the values of the hospital, kindness in particular. “James can always be counted on to donate his PTO for those in need. Whenever an email goes out that a fellow employee is in need, James will always donate his hours to help. This is extremely generous and rare.”

Wingo lives in Harrisonville with his wife, who is also a Cass Regional employee, and their two pets. He enjoys fishing, music and photo/videography.

As Employee of the Quarter, Wingo received a paid day off, a designated parking space for the quarter, an Employee of the Quarter pin, a candy bouquet and brownies.
