Our volunteers make the difference!
Our primary volunteer group, the Cass Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, was established in 1963. The auxiliary promotes and advances the welfare of Cass Regional Medical Center through service to the hospital and its patients. The group also hosts special fundraisers throughout the year, with proceeds funding hospital equipment needs and a scholarship program for area health care students.
The auxiliary currently has more than 30 members, who are called auxilians. Auxilians work in areas such as the reception desks (at both the medical center and Rock Haven Medical Mall), the Business Office, Human Resources, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Nursing Administration.
Membership is open to adults aged 18 or older who are interested in supporting the hospital. Anyone interested in becoming an auxilian must pass a standard background check and complete an orientation. The auxilian will then be assigned to a role within the organization, with consideration given to the person's interests and abilities. Auxilians are asked to work at least one four-hour shift per week, depending on availability.
