Contributing to our community and economy
- We are proud to call Cass County our home, and since 1963, it has been our privilege to care for our neighbors and friends. Year after year, we strive to give back, and in 2023 alone, we donated more than $12,000 in support of 21 community organizations, and provided more than $13 million in charity and unreimbursed care.
- We provide local access to health care services in six different communities throughout the region, helping to overcome obstacles to care, such as lack of transportation.
- As one of the largest employers in the region, Cass Regional is a key engine for our local economy. In addition to being a corporate consumer of goods and services, we provide more than 460 jobs that result in approximately $38 million in annual salaries and benefits for area residents. These funds are then reinvested in local real estate, schools, nonprofit organizations and businesses, helping them prosper as well.
Cass Regional named one of the nation's cleanest hospitals
Cass Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that it has been named one of the nation's top 350 Cleanest Hospitals by Becker's Hospital Review and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Cass Regional is one of just 10 hospitals in the state to receive this recognition.
The rating is based on data collected from October 2022 to September 2023 in a Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey. Hospital patients with a recent inpatient stay were asked about their experience, and Cass Regional received a 5-star rating for cleanliness.
"Our Environmental Services staff is dedicated to consistently doing their best for every patient, every time," said Chris Lang, CEO. "Their skilled teamwork provides the clean, welcoming environment that makes it possible to provide excellent patient care and stand out as a top hospital."
