Pulmonary rehab gains national accreditation

Cass Regional is proud to share that the Pulmonary Rehabilitation department has received accreditation from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).

AACVPR Program Certification is the only peer-reviewed accreditation process designed to assess and ensure the highest standards in pulmonary rehabilitation. The rigorous application process evaluates areas such as program leadership, individual patient care plans, emergency preparedness and patient outcomes.

Pulmonary rehabilitation is a medically supervised program that includes exercise training, education and support to help patients with chronic lung diseases—such as COPD, pulmonary fibrosis and post-COVID complications—improve their physical condition and overall well-being.

Cass Regional congratulates the Pulmonary Rehabilitation team for continuing to improve access to high-quality care for the communities it serves.

Recognized for cleanliness

Cass Regional Medical Center has once again been named one of the nation's top 374 Cleanest Hospitals by Becker's Hospital Review, reflecting its 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and patient survey responses. Cass Regional is one of just nine hospitals in the state to receive this recognition.

The rating is based on data collected from April 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024, in a Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey. Hospital patients with a recent inpatient stay were asked about their experience, and Cass Regional received a 5-star rating for cleanliness.

"The skilled work of our Environmental Services team
makes it possible to provide excellent patient care," said Chris Lang, CEO. "We're honored to once again be recognized as a top hospital."

Level III designation reaffirms timely, high-quality stroke care

Cass Regional Medical Center has once again been designated a Level III Missouri Stroke Center by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Time Critical Diagnosis Unit.

This recognition follows Cass Regional's continued certification as an Acute Stroke-Ready Hospital through The Joint Commission and underscores the hospital's ongoing commitment to delivering timely, high-quality stroke care to the community. The Level III designation acknowledges the expertise, training and resources available at Cass Regional to quickly identify, assess and treat stroke patients—ultimately improving outcomes and saving lives.

Cass Regional extends sincere gratitude to its providers, nurses and support staff for their dedication to excellence. Their skill and commitment ensure patients receive the best possible care when it matters most.
