"When football season comes, we see a lot of football injuries, anything from concussions to ACLs. Weekend warriors are more like overuse types of injuries sometimes, or they have rolled their ankle or something like that," Dr. Petersen said.

"They say that a lot of times, children who fail a grade, one-third of those actually have hearing loss issues,” Melinda Lacy, FNP-BC, said. “So, having hearing and vision screenings done, especially if your kid is struggling in school, bring them in, so we can talk about it and see if that is an issue.”
